Use the correct size and type of battery specified by the manufacturer of your device. Insert batteries into your device properly, with the (+) and (-) terminals aligned correctly.


Remove all used batteries from the device at the same time, and then replace them with new batteries of the same size and type.

1. What are the different types/classifications of batteries?

Batteries in the market today fall under 2 classifications, which are primary and rechargeablebatteries.

Primary Batteries - or "disposable" batteries, are those that are discarded when empty and cannot be recharged. The most common types include alkaline, zinc carbon, zinc air and lithium.

Rechargeable Batteries - are batteries that can be recharged and reused up to 1000 times depending on the batteries features and various usage conditions. Common types of these include Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH), Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) and Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) batteries.
